On May 28^th, Edifier Technology Company Ltd., hosted the official opening of it’s new manufacturing facility in Dongguan, China. The event invited press from all major provinces within China and took place over two days.

During the two days, local press and media participated in a manufacturing facility tour, press conference as well as a friendly go-kart racing competition with Edifier employees. The event was well received by the media as many are very familiar with Edifier and Edifier products.

  

 

      

        

The manufacturing facility features the following production lines:    

  

  

·     7 Final assembly lines 

·      6 satellite production lines 

·      3 back panel production lines 

·      2 for cloth/grill assembly 

·      3 for PCV assembly 

·      3 Spray paint/ paint rooms 

·      2 polishing rooms 

·      4 Injection molding production lines of more than 25 machines  

·      Cast making machinery and production facilities 

·      2 SMT Mounting machines

 

  

 Within the Song Shan Lake Industrial Park, authorities demand several environmental regulations that must be applied to manufacturing for all companies. To uphold to these regulations, Edifier does the following to do our part in minimizing the carbon footprint. 

 

·      Use suppliers of raw materials who practice environmentally friendly manufacturing  

·      Use LED and T5 lighting in all office floors and manufacturing facility 

·      Solar panelling for water heating  

·      Biological Liquid Processing used to reduce and filter fume emissions 

·      Use of Membrane Bioreactors to recycle waste water 

Edifier boasts a less than 1% end product defect rate, one of the lowest in the industry. This is achieved by 100% on line quality control. For every production line there are 4 quality control staff, ensuring that the products being made are in proper working condition and quality before being passed on to the next line. In addition to on line quality control, a separate quality control department also tests products for their finished quality and endurance. Testing for products include longevity tests, maximum volume testing, humidity and heat testing and drop testing on various surfaces for transportation.

Before products are manufactured, all speaker drivers are tested in the acoustic chamber, the second largest in China. Speaker drivers, tweeters, microphone and headphones are tested to ensure high quality sound and frequency response.

Employee accommodation for all employees are provided on manufacturing facility grounds as well as a cafeteria, badminton courts, basketball courts, children playground, barbeque terrace, supermarket, Karaoke bar, computer room and free Wi-Fi within all rooms. A complementary bus service is provided to the local town and markets three times a week for all employees as well as movie nights in the facility auditorium for all Edifier employees to enjoy three nights a week. Employees work 8 hours per day, 5.5 days a week with all public holidays provided.
