EDIFIER X600

"The new stereo desktop system from Edifier is intended for PC gamers, though it'd serve as a decent general-purpose computer system as well. It sports a subwoofer with a good-sized 6.5in driver receiving 14W RMS and a pair of satellites that each house a 3in mid-range driver and a 0.75in tweeter, receiving 8W each. The driver configuration is well-balanced and while it's not an overly powerful system (going by the numbers), it produced a very respectable volume level and was free of distortion when pushed to the limit. On the side of the subwoofer are separate volume controls for the subwoofer and satellites, plus a line in for your PC sound card. What's missing with the X600 is a desktop control panel, headphone socket, support for a portable media player (via an iPhone dock or second line in) and more esoteric frills like tone or EQ controls. This is pretty Spartan in terms of features then. Nevertheless, the X600 is a good-sounding, affordable system and if you don't need those extra conveniences, it's a good way to get decent sound for your PC games."
